Tartu Midsummer – Folklore Club Maatasa GALLERY

ALL THE PHOTOS ARE HERE Author: Folklooriklubi Maatasa

On June 23, Tartu celebrated Midsummer Eve with a large community fete for the second year in a row. Folklore Club Maatasa was present, offering musical entertainment – as has become customary, people could dance traditional South Estonian dances and enjoy South Estonian tunes. But in addition to music and dance, those who wished could try on South Estonian folk costumes and try out folk instruments. Among those trying on costumes were people from Mexico, Morocco, USA, Colombia, China, Finland, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Switzerland, Ukraine, Romania, and of course, Estonian families.

Feel free to use the photos, the author is Folklore Club Maatasa!

Thank you very much to everyone for coming and being with Maatasa – it was a beautiful and special day! And our gratitude to the city of Tartu for organising and for including Maatasa!
