MTÜ Tartu Folk

MTÜ Tartu Folk was founded 14. February 2019 to promote folklore in Tartumaa, provide learning opportunities, organize different folk-related events and create international bonds between youth interested in folklore.

Tartu Folklore Club Maatasa, a part of MTÜ Tartu Folk, specializes in Southern-Estonian folklore in many different areas, such as songs, dances, instruments, storytelling, and traditional clothing. Maatasa is the founder of the Tartu Youth Folklore Festival (2016 – 2019) and the international web show Tartu Folk-Off (2020-).
